History

In the summer of 1906, Professor Peter Primrose launched the Primrose Institute. It was Professor Primrose's desire to introduce a course of study heretofore unimagined. A curriculum that would take a scientific approach to the study of magical creatures such as fairies, imps, goblins and trolls. Through meticulous fact gathering, the faculty of the Primrose Institute set forth a new understanding of the fate of the inhabitants of the magic realms. In 1908, the Primrose Institute was the first college in the world to employ a gnome as a professor. A major breakthrough in gnome/human relations.

As the institute expanded, thousands of magical creatures of all forms have been identified and cataloged around the world. In an effort to preserve the fragile balance of fairy folk in the modern world, Professor Primrose insisted that all documentation be translated into riddles and clues rather than exact details in order to protect the whereabouts of these much sought after entities. Thus the creation of the Primrose Guide for Finding Fairies.

The Primrose Institute was home to the infamous tome until recent unpleasantness. The institute is sparing no expense or expertise in recovering the book and continuing the work set forth by Professor Peter Primrose.
